New Zealand has one of the highest rates of skin cancers in the world due to environmental UV exposure and our outdoor lifestyle.
Skin cancers of various types can affect as many as 1 in every 100 people. Although most of the skin cancer types will require surgical treatment, some subtypes may be treated without surgery. Mr Yang was trained in New Zealand and is experienced in skin cancer diagnosis and surgery.
