FACIAL REJUVENATION

I recently had the opportunity to attend the Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) Tokyo 2024. As a plastic surgeon, it was fascinating to see how 'non-surgical' facial rejuvenation techniques have evolved to stand alongside traditional surgical options, broadening the scope of the aesthetic armamentarium. Interestingly, some non-surgical methods might more accurately be considered 'less-invasive' surgical rejuvenation. For example, various forms of thread lifting are on the borderline of surgery, requiring a deep understanding of facial anatomy that even diagrams and simulations alone may not fully capture.

While 'non-surgical' rejuvenation aims to 'maintain' a youthful appearance, surgical rejuvenation seeks to 'rewind' and partially reverse the signs of established facial ageing. As these approaches are complementary, we are actively exploring ways to integrate more non-surgical facial rejuvenation techniques into our services to offer a more comprehensive, tailored approach to facial aesthetics.

And remember—a little non-surgical magic can help capture and maintain what you’ve got now, but if you think you might have 'missed the train,' surgical options are still the reliable way to help rewind the clock! Come see us to explore all the ways we can bring out the best in your appearance.

A Journey of Healing and Hope: Mr Yang’s Experience with Operation Restore Hope in the Philippines

As a cleft surgeon in New Zealand, Mr. Yang has always believed in the transformative impact of repairing cleft lip and palate in children's lives. Joining Operation Restore Hope and the ASK Foundation on a mission in the Philippines this year (May 2024), he witnessed firsthand the profound effects of healing beyond surgery.

Working alongside volunteers from various countries, their shared goal was clear: to bring positive change to the lives of children from the slums affected by cleft lip and palate. Despite long hours and challenging work in the operating room, the fulfilment of making a difference was palpable. Interacting with patients and their families, he was humbled by their resilience and unwavering optimism. Despite enduring hardships and stigma, their spirits remained unbroken. Witnessing their smiles after surgery reinforced the profound impact of their mission.

As the mission concluded, Mr. Yang felt immense gratitude for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful experience. Though brief, the memories created and the lives touched will endure. This mission reaffirmed his belief in the power of compassion and teamwork, showcasing the difference they can make in the lives of others.

Size matters

Excess breast size affects many women in varying degrees and can be debilitating. Symptoms can include back, shoulder and neck pains, poor posture, breast pain, and macerations under breast folds causing infection in warmer weathers. These women often struggle to exercise despite trying, struggle to find suitable clothing, and some struggle with social embarrassment and low self-esteem as a result. Breast reduction had been described since the 6th century AD, proving that this is simply not just another modern phenomenon.  Mr Yang was trained in different breast reduction techniques and prides himself in achieving aesthetically pleasing breast shapes after surgery. Many of his patients had described their journey to smaller breasts as ‘life changing.’  Please contact Mr Yang for a consultation to start your journey and break free from the shackles of large breasts.
